Overview
TM Dancoat is a ready-to-use elastomeric coating rather than a site-gauged one — it goes on in two coats over a single primer coat, building a thick film that stretches up to 300% instead of cracking as the substrate expands and contracts.
That thickness and elasticity is what makes it suited to metal surfaces as well as concrete — metal roofing and flashing move more with temperature than concrete does, and a thin coating would fatigue and crack there long before an elastomeric one does.
Left exposed on terraces and roofs, it also functions as a heat-reflective layer, since the same thick white film that resists UV breakdown reflects a meaningful share of incoming heat.
